Telcordia Next Gen OSS Goes Live in Major Asian Broadband Rollout
Central role for Telcordia in automating fulfillment, assurance for Telekom Malaysia's $3B high-speed broadband rollout
PISCATAWAY, NJ - May 12, 2011 - Telcordia (www.telcordia.com), a global leader in the development of mobile, fixed and broadband communications software and services, today announced that the next generation Telcordia Fulfillment solution is now in production at Telekom Malaysia, supporting the rollout of its high-speed broadband (HSBB) services.
Telekom Malaysia is two years into an ambitious $3B HSBB rollout, aiming to raise domestic broadband penetration and provide 10Mbps-1Gbps broadband access to 1.3 million customers by 2012. The network expansion will enable triple play offers as well as supporting high-value enterprise services on a next generation network. Supporting the network rollout is an equally comprehensive OSS transformation program.
The Fulfillment solution sits at the heart of Telekom Malaysia's new operations support system, enabling automated network design, inventory discovery and reconciliation, and providing the core of automated service fulfillment and assurance. Telcordia® Service Director has also been selected by Telekom Malaysia for service level management to help realize a customer-focused, service-centric operation. Service Director consolidates near-real-time service and network performance information to deliver much richer and more precise analysis of service quality and customer experience.
