William J. Wanke brings a wealth of talent and expertise to his position as President of Operations Solutions. His vision and leadership help ensure that communication service providers (CSPs) worldwide can cost effectively create, deliver and deploy new, advanced services over any network or device. With deep technology and domain expertise embodied in our software assets and advisory services, these end-to-end solutions support a CSPs business and operations including program management, business case development, solution architecture, software development, solution implementation and change management with an eye toward regulatory and financial imperatives.
Mr. Wanke previously served as the Chief Operating and Chief Technology Officer for Tekmark Global Solutions, one of the largest privately held providers of information technology, communications and consulting services to companies worldwide.
Prior to joining Tekmark, Mr. Wanke was Senior Vice President of the Telcordia Software Systems organization, where he was responsible for the development of some of the industry's most regarded and recognized software systems. His efforts resulted in applications that continue to achieve the highest quality ratings when tested against industry standards and, as a result, support telecommunications infrastructures throughout the world.
Mr. Wanke began his professional career at Bell Laboratories as a software engineer and systems architect in Planning and Engineering Systems. He then began a 25-year tenure at Telcordia, where he focused on growing the business, driving productivity and quality improvements, and consistently delivering with excellence. Mr. Wanke served as a Director and Executive Director before becoming Vice President and General Manager of the Service Assurance Systems business unit, where he was responsible for business and operations functions associated with five of Telcordia's software products, primarily supporting fault management, trouble management and test control.
Mr. Wanke holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
